Artist Lidia Cao’s participation in the 12th edition of WOOL is supported by the Spanish Embassy in Portugal.

Lidia Cao (b. 1997) has a degree in Illustration from the EASD Pablo Picasso in A Coruña. She has been interested in drawing since she was very young, specializing in the treatment of figures and faces, carefully analysing expressions in order to say a lot with the minimum.
In her works, the characters have a primordial weight in the composition and the dreamlike atmospheres she generates enhance the expressiveness of their faces, which function as intimate psychological portraits and acquire a veiled but intense dramaturgy.

Her mastery of volume through a firm and precise line stands out, as does her taste for synthesis in the color palettes he uses, weighing the importance of drawing over color.

In 2016, urban art crossed her path, and since 2018 her career as an illustrator has been combined with her mural work, which is gaining more and more weight, leading her to take part in various urban art events in recent years, both nationally and internationally, in Africa, Greece, Norway, Ireland, the United States, Asia, etc.
