CONCERT

9:30pm
Teatro Municipal da Covilhã, Rua Rui Faleiro 1-5
Created in mid-2005 by musician David Santos, Noiserv is considered one of the most creative and stimulating musical projects to emerge in Portugal in the last decade. His trajectory has been marked by the creation of songs capable of reaching each individual intimately, reminding them of experiences, moments, and memories intricately woven between reality and dreams.
Noiserv, who has been called “the one-man orchestra” or “one-man band,” boasts a successful debut album, “One Hundred Miles from Thoughtlessness” [2008], the EP “A Day in the Day of the Days” [2010], and the award-winning “Almost Visible Orchestra,” which in early 2014 was distinguished as the best album of 2013 by SPA, the Portuguese Society of Authors.
With over 400 concerts across Portugal and the rest of the world, and numerous collaborations in theatre and film, Noiserv’s most significant international breakthrough came in 2015 with the worldwide re-release of the album “Almost Visible Orchestra” through the French label Naive, home to M83, Yann Tiersen, and many other artists.
In 2018, he began composing the original music for the new RTP1 branding and concluded with the soundtrack for the documentary “Labirinto da Saudade,” which won Best Documentary of the Year at the 2019 Sophia Awards.
Alongside four soundtracks, in 2020 Noiserv released his fourth full-length album, “Uma Palavra Começada Por N,” nominated for the IMPALA award for Best European Independent Music Album.
With over 70 concerts presenting this album in Portugal and abroad, Noiserv reinforced his collaboration in theater and film in the following two years with various collaborations and distinctions, notably his collaboration with Companhia Maior, premiering in the main auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and the composition of the “Alternativa” sound identity for the Coliseu do Porto.
In 2025, 20 years will have passed since the release of the EP “56010-92”, the musician’s first. To commemorate this, Noiserv’s fifth full-length album, “7305”, was released on October 17th.
