Surma finds inspiration in silence to create a unique universe of songs, where jazz, electronica and a variety of influences intertwine. Exploring paths that are not always obvious, but with a strong identity and her own phonetics, Surma creates unforgettable moments that transport us from the Nordic fjords to cosmopolitan metropolises.

Her career has been marked by a rare and special light, translated into impressive awards and achievements that show the scope of her music, her ideas and her personality. The album “Antwerpen”, released in 2017, took her around the world, with more than 250 performances in around 21 countries, in small clubs and large open-air festivals. Throughout this journey, Surma has also accumulated a series of side projects – soundtracks, sound design, music for theater, film and dance, and collaborations with other artists – demonstrating not only her energy, but also her generosity and willingness to go further, always exploring new possibilities.

The new album, “alla”, released in 2022, is a challenge without limits, where Surma surrounds herself with collaborations and diverse styles to enrich and deepen her sound universe.

On stage, “alla” reveals a renewed, intense and free Surma, who takes the audience on an immersion into her new musical aesthetic, surprising with the freshness and strength with which she reinvents herself.
