Surma finds inspiration in silence to create a unique universe of songs, where jazz, electronics and a variety of influences intertwine. Her career has been marked by a rare and special light, translated into impressive awards and achievements that highlight the scope of her music, her ideas and her personality. The album “Antwerpen”, released in 2017, took her around the world, with more than 250 performances in around 21 countries, in small clubs and large open-air festivals. Throughout this journey, Surma has also accumulated a series of side projects — soundtracks, sound design, music for theatre, film and dance, and collaborations with other artists. The new album, alla”, released in 2022, is a challenge without limits, where Surma surrounds herself with collaborations and diverse styles to enrich and deepen her sound universe.

For WOOL, she will present us with the result of a local sound collection, which will translate silences, harmonies and an infinity of noises that make up our sonic identity.
