Would you like to volunteer for WOOL?!

We are looking for volunteers who would like to join us for the next edition of WOOL | Covilhã Arte Urbana, taking place between 11 and 21 June.

Volunteering is an essential part of WOOL and contributes to all areas and stages of production, which actually begins long before the event starts and extends a little beyond its conclusion.

We will need artist and event assistants for a wide range of roles. No prior training or experience is required, and if you have any questions about the roles, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@woolfest.org

We have created flexible schedules so that you can try out more than one role and have a full experience of the festival.

Volunteer roles:

– Pre-production phase _ setting up Central WOOL (our operations centre), sorting and preparing merchandise, sorting materials/accessories and giveaways, preparing venues and walls for the installations.

– During the production phase _ this is a multifaceted role, which may involve supporting management and organisational tasks at Central WOOL, providing essential support for the catering operations, and engaging with members of the public who may be curious about what is happening, informing them about current activities and other events taking place during the festival (by distributing information leaflets). It also includes all forms of assistance to artists creating murals and installations, which may involve working directly with artists on painting the mural, as well as helping to prepare and/or transport materials.

– In the various activities – supporting the delivery of the various activities that make up the WOOL programme (exhibitions, mini-concerts, film screenings, talks, concerts, workshops, guided tours, etc.), whether in preparing the venues, during the set-up phase, assisting during the activities, or clearing up afterwards (tidying, storage and/or cleaning).

– Post-production – tidying, storing and cleaning materials and equipment, taking stock and closing the WOOL Centre.

Conditions:
– 4-hour shifts (maximum per day: 8 hours)
– Fidelidade volunteer insurance
– WOOL 2026 T-shirt + volunteer badge
– Water and snacks always available. Lunch provided.
– Certificate of participation
