NASARIMBA, meaning “playful mischief”, is the collaborative practice of Canadian visual artists, Rachel Ziriada (BFA UVic 2014) and Mikhail Miller (BFA AUArts 2006).
Since 2015, the duo has worked together to produce paintings, prints, sculptural installations and large-scale public murals. Their work has been featured in mural festivals including BUMP (2018/2020, Calgary, Canada), Nelson International Mural Festival (2023, Nelson, Canada), Canettes de Ruelle (2024, Montreal, Quebec), and Huellas Tilcajete (2025, Oaxaca, Mexico). NASARIMBA has participated in national and international residencies, most recently completing month-long sessions at Somos Arts in Berlin, Germany (March, 2026) and Gate44 Printmaking Studio in Milan, Italy (April, 2026).
The duo has received project grant funding from Calgary Arts Development and Canada Council for the Arts. Their work has been exhibited across Canada and Mexico. Mikhail and Rachel live and work together in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory / Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
