“15 LAYERS OF WOOL – the construction of a city”^PT

A regular feature at WOOL, the exhibitions are always opportunities to showcase work that extend beyond the festival days and remain open to a wider audience. Showcasing and promoting the work of talented artists, whether local or national, is something that has been with us from the very beginning.

In this edition, as we celebrate 15 years of WOOL, a special exhibition, with no fixed venue, focusing precisely on… WOOL’s 15th anniversary!

“15 LAYERS OF WOOL – the construction of a city” is a photography exhibition spread across the city, showing WOOL’s influence and impact on the regeneration of Covilhã’s urban landscape. In this exhibition, we show the ‘before’ and ‘after’ at various points around the city, in an exercise of remembering what these places used to be and recognising what they are now. A sort of treasure trove of the city’s construction over 15 years not to be missed.
