Ema Ferreira and Marco Pereira have joined forces to form a duo specialising in improvised electroacoustic music. Here, the ‘electro’ element stems from the use of synthesisers and MIDI controllers, whilst the ‘acoustic’ aspect derives from the use of objects as one of the primary sound sources. Furthermore, the bridge between ‘electro’ and ‘acoustic’ is forged through the gesture, timbre and resonance intrinsic to the sound.
