The School Art Gallery project, funded by the European Erasmus+ KA220 VET programme, aims to innovate arts education by stimulating creativity and new forms of learning and teaching. It seeks to improve teaching practices, develop digital skills and enrich teaching and learning processes for both educators and students through the application of Augmented Reality technologies and their interaction with Urban Art.

The project ran from 2024 to 2026, bringing together partners from Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. In Covilhã, the project partnered with Campos Melo Secondary School, where the final result of this capacity-building project can now be seen – the augmented reality mural ‘ESCOLA TEMPO’. This involved the participation of art teachers and students, who were guided by visual artist Tiago Hesp and digital artist André Peixoto.
