Poet

Alice Neto de Sousa (1993) is a Portuguese-born poet with roots in Angola. She is the author of the poem ‘March’, chosen to inaugurate the official commemorations of the 50th anniversary of 25 April, and the poem ‘Poet’, which in 2022 conquered the social networks and has flown around the world. She has poems in the newspaper ‘Mensagem de Lisboa’, was a regular on the television programme ‘Bem-Vindos’ on RTP Africa (2021 to 2023) and a resident poet at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (2024). In 2022, she was honored by Bantumen as one of the hundred most influential personalities in Lusophony. Restless by nature in her words and choices, she enjoys the freedom to think and feel.
